Future MinistriesYouth Movement: Africa is very ripe for a massive move of God amongst young people. Across the continent, there is a young black army of light ready and waiting to be called out, equipped, and mobilized. Already there are many young adult men and women being drawn around Pastor Dallas and Jody and the ministry. The ministry has been given a 1000 seat tent, many chairs and a lot of other equipment. The need is to raise $5000 to have it all shipped to South Africa. Training Grounds: Over the next several years, the ministry base, which is primarily a farm at this point, will slowly transform into a campus. It will become a very diverse training ground for people from all over Africa, and youth in particular. We believe this will be a fulfillment of Ezekiel 34:29, which God gave to us as a promise that He would establish a spiritual training ground for young people. Training and equipping will include developing self-government under God, leadership skills, parenting, business and trade skills, and financial management amongst a host of other subjects. Part of reaching youth and a youth movement is relevant worship and dance. We foresee an arts and culture equipping ministry that will serve youth revival. An arts and culture ministry will also be a medium for expressing traditional and contemporary African dance in a redemptive fashion. We believe this is part of redeeming the culture, and that culture is a great frontier upon which the Kingdom of God must be displayed in this era. Youth Sports: In addition to the current outreach to young people through soccer, we are in the process of converting the old tennis court on the property into a basketball court with the help of local government. We plan to develop a soccer and rugby field complex on the base and build a gymnasium. Soccer, rugby and basketball are all popular sports among the people. By hosting teams and events on the base, we can serve the community in a great way and the sporting events are an excellent environment for relationship building and sharing the gospel. Orphan's Homes and Safe Houses: Significant ministry to children and networking with agencies is already under way. And now the first steps are being taken toward establishing an in-depth ministry to at-risk children, street children, and orphans. A home environment and not an institution is our basic model. Our team in Salem Oregon, USA has begun working on the legal and structural aspects of this ministry. The team includes pastors, foster care and housing providers, and an international adoption agency. Also, we are currently in dialogue with people who have indicated they would like to build the first home. 12 home will be needed. |
