Letter 01 --
June 3, 2006 In the nation of South Africa right now, as you read this letter, it is
literally the worst of times the world has ever seen. I am speaking of
the exploding pandemic of HIV/AIDS that is covering the southern half of
Africa. The United Nations has declared it to be, ‘THE WORST HUMAN
CATASTROPHE IN THE HISTORY OF THE WORLD’! |

Letter 02
--
June 11, 2006 An American diagnosed with HIV can
still be strong in 10-20 years. An African diagnosed with HIV will be dead
in 2-5 years! At least 42 million people worldwide are HIV positive. At a
minimum 72% of them live in Sub Saharan Africa.
That’s over 30 million
people right now this moment who will die in less than 5 years. |

Letter 03 -- June 18, 2006
The ‘official’ percentage of the
population of SA that is said to be HIV positive is 1 in 3 people. That
is terribly high, but the problem with this statistic is that it is very
difficult to gauge who all is infected. Among indigenous South Africans
there is a tremendous stigma attached to the disease, those who are
found out to be infected are typically ostracized and rejected by family
and community! ... |

We
call Brenda our angel. This is why...
-- June 2006 Brenda Gulwa is a home-based caregiver based at the clinic in
Jeffrey's Bay just 10 km from our
ministry base...
Dallas expressed interest in Brenda's
work, and asked her if it would be possible for us to pray for her
patients. Brenda was very excited about that. As a result,
we now spend every Thursday bringing sick people out to our
ministry base for lunch, worship, and prayer, or visiting them
in their homes to pray for them. Almost all of the
patients Brenda has are HIV positive. |
